Numerical simulation on compressive strength of single jointed rock mass

Abstract
The numerical simulation on compressive strength of rock mass with different joint plane angle subjecting and certain confining pressures were carried out by using UDEC software for researching the variation of compressive strength of single jointed rock mass with the change of joint plane angle and confining pressure. The results show that when the confining pressures are determined, the compressive strength of rock mass decreases firstly and then increases with the increasing joint plane angle, and it arrives at the bottom when the joint plane angle ranges from 45° to 60°, exhibiting a “U” shape trend. While when the joint plane angles are determined, the compressive strength of rock mass increases correspondingly with the increasing confining pressure, exhibiting a linear trend which can be expressed as a linear function, thus it is consistent with theoretical formula. With the increasing of amplitude, the compressive strength of rock mass increases initially and then decreases with the increasing joint plane angle which is similar to variation law of compressive strength with joint plane angle.
单节理岩体抗压强度的数值模拟

摘 要
为研究单节理岩体抗压强度随节理面倾角及围压变化时的变化规律,利用数值模拟软件 UDEC 对围压一定时不同节理面倾角的岩体进行了抗压强度实验.结果表明:围压一定,随节理面倾角的增大,岩体抗压强度先减小后增大,在倾角介于 45°~60°时抗压强度达到最低值,呈典型的“U”形趋势;节理面倾角一定,随着围压的增大岩体抗压强度也随之增大,整体呈线性变化趋势,可拟合为一次函数,与理论导出式一致;随节理面倾角增大岩体抗压强度增大幅度呈先减小后增大趋势,近似于围压一定时岩体抗压强度随节理面倾角变化规律.
